Mike Nelson
OwnerHi! My name is Mike Nelson, and I am the owner and founder of Eagle Eye Enterprises. My first experience in the woodworking industry began when I was 10 years old. My father’s company in Yutan made grade stakes and bridging, and through that experience, I knew I wanted to continue to work in construction. At 15 years old, I spent the summer working on my first framing project. I wasn’t old enough to drive to the job site at the time, so my mom would drop me off in the morning. After high school, I continued my education in construction, graduating in January of 1979. That following summer, in June of ‘79, I began my first business, Nelson Framing. After too many rotator cuff surgeries over the years, I had to pivot my line of work to something a little less stressful on my body. This is where Eagle Eye began. I love working with people and creating new ideas. As the name Eagle Eye implies, I have an eye for quality and attention to detail. From the very start, my dream has been to build a business where my boys could work alongside me and eventually, carry on the legacy. In 2017, my youngest son Josiah joined Eagle Eye, and at the beginning of 2022, he became part owner. I am very grateful to be able to maintain the family business aspect of Eagle Eye as we continue to grow and build people’s dream projects throughout Omaha.
